A heavy verse culminates in a refrain where harmony and melody tells about both musical maturity and a preserved child at heart. Quash is mostly a live performing band, and words like tight and ensembled are often used in connection with Quash.

The history starts in 1989 when Per Mählby (Vocals/Guitar) and Anders Fläre (Vocals/Guitar) starts the band. After numerous change of members the band started to form in 1992 with Pär Zackrisson (Drums) and Magnus Hallberg (Bass). In 1992 Quash was touring mid-Sweden and released a demo cassette. During 1993 the band worked with new material and made some apperances in 1994 with Tobias Östlund as leadsinger. Quash also recorded a song for a compilation album released by Musikhuset in Gävle. In the autumn Tobias Östlund left the band and Per Mählby took the role of leadsinger. With that lineup the band has continued making new songs and took part on two more compilation albums in 1997 and 1999. In May 2001 the demo-cd ”far from dead” was released. In 2002 the demo-cd "Quash 3" was released. It was in this period the boys did a couple of great gigs at the musicclub Nebraska, were they played acoustic versions of the cd-songs. "Quash 4" was released in winter 2004 ,and got good response.

After a move, come a creative period again and in June - 05, came "About the future"

In spring 2006 the band had a honourd acoustic gig at the Gävle Konserthus, under the festival called "Home Brew", (witch even was broadcoast by Sveriges Radio P4 Gävleborg). An acoustic recording in the studio is planing cause of that.

In the summer of 2006 came "Bleeding", and they are now writing for so many songs.....
